    I'm new to forum!

My wife hates the ride on my 2004 Prerunner TRD extended cab and refuses to travel in it. I admit it does ride rough, so I am thinking of replacing the shocks from the original (bilsteins?) to a less stiff shock. Has anyone done a 4 wheel shock/strut replacement and did the ride become less choppy? I do not do any off road driving.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
there are a lot of things that affect the ride, tire pressure, shocks, springs, ball joints, tie rod ends, just to name a few...

how many miles are on your Prerunner, does it already have suspensions mods (I am guessing not, but had to ask).

just getting a weaker or softer shock won't particularly soften the ride. Remember, it is a truck and has a tendency to ride like one.

I took off the KYB gas adjust mine had when I purchased, went to the bilstein HD's and the ride is great, next time I need shocks/struts, 5100's (next summer)..

Airlift rear air bags. Hood struts. sockmonkey bedside decal. TRD supercharger(not installed). Deckplate. Grey wire mod. Extended rear diff breather. 6000k HIDS. 18"Magnaflow. Truxxx 3" level kit. (Temporary) Wet Okole seat covers. BoxRocket bed rack. Bora 0.75 wheel spacers All pro sliders. BAMF BPV. B&M trans cooler.
I think the TRD's have stiffer shocks. You could try aftermarket ones for a non TRD. Tire pressure makes a difference as well. My ride is softer going from 35-30psi.

Thanks for the responses. My PreRunner has no suspension modsand has 64K miles. The original tires have been replaced with SAMS Club Michelin tires.
