Hey rubio (op). Im curious as to how well this retro has worked since it's been just a bit over a year! Pros? Cons? Im contemplating doing this also, but possibly with halos. Thanks!

I've since moved on. Another member on here has them. But until I got rid of them, they were solid. They put out what I put in, no pun intended. But seriously, it all depends on how you execute it. They were rock solid and still had a perfectly level, crisp cutoff. Go for it. Like I said, I was hesitant at first. When I started to really get into it, everything kind of came naturally and I had to improvise along the way. Worked out perfect for me.

I made another pair for myself. Full stage 3 kit...25% off from the group buy on here. Didn't paint the bowl, but the gatling 2.0 shroud I painted flat black. Nothing too fancy. Sold those to a close buddy with a spitting identical truck to mine. So I have stocks on for now. I'm contemplating a set of FX-R's...but that's gonna take more research as well as time. I'm not too good with that JB Weld stuff...

Ok, well thanks for the reply, jb weld is easy, just need practice. They make it in a paste kinda form. The two parts are together, but need to be kneaded together almost like dough. Either way good luck and thanks. Got any? pics of your second setup

Hey quick question. Did you notice a difference with the black housing and the chrome housing? Curious about any reflection from the chrome

@Exhaust Hey man! Well I've had a couple with matte black, chrome, and gloss black and a combination of the colors. I personally like the matte black for the bowl and the shroud...simply for the fact it hides blemishes a lot better. I'm seeing now on my now set of everything chrome lint and wipes from the alcohol and just little things that I notice and no one else would. It's all about preference. But my dads driving my truck now and he wants all chrome, so I won't change it. But I would prefer the matte black. As for the reflection of the chrome it looks like the whole headlight is lit up, except that the beam is directed downwards because of the projector. Both my dad and I have experienced people flashing their lights at us even though the beam is below what they can see. I think it's just the reflection of the bowl they see and think it's in their eyes. Boy are they surprised when we flash back.

Not as many as I'd like...
Do you have any pictures of the JB weld process? I thought the shrouds screwed to the projector... Thanks
