2004 Tacoma Single Cab 4x4 - Rims and Tire Size On Stock Suspension

Hi there, I am new to this forum site and I have a 2004 Tacoma single cab 4x4. I would like to avoid lifting it if possible but I want more stance. What is the widest and biggest rim and tire size/sizes I could fit without lifting it. Thanks, Mike

 

What do you mean by "stance?"

 

More poke out of the wheel well. not so much that the wheel looks like its totally out from under the car. but enough to make it look wider

You can likely go out quite a way, if you keep stock size tires. 3.5" backspacing on a wheel will push them out to about what you see below.

But, you'll want to read this, as you're really starting down a slippery slope.

265/75/16 has the exact stance you're looking for if you don't have flares and depending on wheel back spacing. I have them on my reg cab and they only rub while turning on inclines

 

3" wheel spacers all around for your stance, lol.

Please don't. Maybe 1 to 1.5, don't go any wider

 

I was able to squeeze some 255/75/17’s on fj steelies on the stock suspension. They’re tall and skinny tires tho.
