    The ADD CV shafts may be slighlty stronger than manual. But there are other parts in the ADD system that are weaker than the manual system. Like the stub shaft in the diff.

    Strength wise, ADD and manual are a wash. (It's IFS Toyota... neither of them are exactly bulletproof)

    Piece of mind that you are in 4wd when you're supposed to be, manual is a win.

    Ease of CV replacement, manual is a win.

    Being able to get yourself in a better position to change the CV if it breaks, manual is a win.

    Not spinning your CVs when you're driving down the freeway in 2wd (wearing out your CV boots), manual is a win.

    Not having to change the front diff oil nearly as much, manual is a win.
