I'm losing oil in my taco roughly 1 1/2 quarts between oil changes. I'm not seeing any evidence of a leak or any white smoke to signal burning. Truck has 225k miles. Any ideas of a starting point ?

bump..I'm having the same problem and probably more severe. Same year same motor just more miles. I don't know a great deal about tacomas, this is my 1st one and I've had it less than a week. My last Toyota P/U was a 1980. So on my 05 Tacoma I can rev the engine to about 4500rpm and shoot oil on a car 4 feet away from the tailpipe. Driving a little over 100 miles I think it will use about 1/2 of a quart. Checked Compression and all four were pretty close to 160psi. Searching forums because I don't know what to check. So ya any help for the junior members here would be great. Thanks for any reply
