He wants a SPORT... but that would mean NO LOCKER, NO A-TRAC... For those, he must be swayed away from the Dark Side and get an OFF ROAD TRD 4WD 2009+

two questions-what are the interior changes thru the years?

are the added safety measures, although they may cause electrical issues in the future, make a real difference? a 07 would have traction control right?

Just a bunch of old crap
I bought my '06 Sport 4x4 access cab with 8k miles on it in Dec of '06 and I haven't looked back. Best vehicle I have ever owned, with out a single major issue (had my armrest handle tabs break off and also had the compass/thermo go out but fixed both within a half hour thanks to the tips on this forum). I treat it rough off road and it always gets me out but shines like a new penny and still purrs like a kitten.

The only major change that I can think of between the '05-'08 and the '09+ is that in '09 the radio came with an AUX input, so you can connect your MP3 player without an aftermarket radio. To me, that was a big thing.

Also in '09, the side-curtain airbags came on the scene, as well as I believe the active headrests. Some more safety features for you. And, despite what some people say, the extra electronic traction stuff really does make a difference. I got a little in over my head playing around in the snow and put the truck in a 4 foot snow drift in a ditch, and I just put it in 4-Lo, engaged the traction stuff, and it pulled itself right out. My dad just looked on in shock - no way his Xterra could have done that.

Back up camera in the tailgate, the screen appears in your mirror when you put it in Reverse... that is new.
