2005-2011 AC control wire harness adaptor to an 2012-2015 AC control

The rheostat is the control knob for you’re temperature setting

 

Yeah pretty sure switching the knob ain't gonna do the trick lol so you're probably talking about sth else. Is there a write up to what you're referring to?

 

Yeah there is. I’ll have to find it again. But the one I refered to was using a harness like this and switching the rheostats. Someone later commented saying that soldering in some wires avoids swapping the rheostats. If you can pursue this and can get it to work then awesome and please let me know lol

 

Actually my bad. I meant the knob that controls your off through hi setting

 

Then if you do that does the AC automatically kick on when you turn the temp dial all the way to cold? Where it says max AC on the 09-15 trucks

I never did that. Just left it on max at all times cause it gets up to 125 here in the summer. No reason to turn it off lol

 

I read through the other thread and jumper wires on the control board are to fix the the constant hot air problem. You can either do that or swap the rheostat from an 05-11 into the 12-15 board

Received mine, waiting on the black unit I bought to get here hopefully Wednesday. Really hoping it’s the flat and not gloss!

 

Plugged in everything works great but the ac button light stays on whenever on ?

 

Wow if only this was around when I was doing my retrofit... I'd like to purchase a harness if still available.
