Hey Miles, from what I hear, cheap $100 headlights will likely begin fading or peeling within a year and the optical quality and light output is inferior.
I'm running the Alpharex Nova which I've only had for a couple weeks and I'm satisfied with their performance, but they are not flawless. I'm having an issue with them which the DRL lights up orange when I'm away (and haven't even been in my truck for hours) but will turn off after a minute or so. Still need to diagnose this problem.
If you really look at these headlights under a fine tooth comb up close, the quality of the paint work inside the lens is quite poor.
The Pro model which you're considering has no bootup lighting sequence/dance, and it has a halogen low beam, which you'd likely be disappointed with.
I'm undecided what I would review my headlights at 1-5 stars at this point. Style and looks tho are a pretty incredible improvement

do you think the pros would be a good option for the money tho because I don’t want to spend too terribly much on them I’ve seen you can ask for the “yellow” wire harness and you get the boot up sequence but I’m not sure how much truth their is to it.

I dont think thats an optional extra for like "oh and btw add this cool feature for only $25 more" i think it's more of a technical thing like if you have the DRL from the factory. The Pro's would likely be a good option if you want the style and looks now, and down the road you can replace the halogen low beam with an LED H7 I believe it is

oh sweet I might just have to do that once I get the money I’m definitely getting these! But I really want to try to figure out the boot up thing and tap that into my raptor grille so when you lock/unlock they all flash. I think that would be pretty cool

Installation was fairly time consuming, there is one bolt on both sides that is very difficult to access, and you WILL break some grille clips, which you may have already done and replaced since you have the raptor style grille. just giving you the heads up, it might be frustrating

My stock headlights leak really bad and have a really bad condensation issue I know the struggle of taking them out. Thank you for the information!
