Still throwing it back and forth between adjustable and fixed uppers. But I think the adjustable will be the best, 1 size fits a wide range of options.

Here is a question to you owners. The anomaly across the cab and bed length options is the Double Cab short bed. It has a bed support nub on the driver side that I want to have owners trim so the upper mount has best possible support from frame.
Are you guys OK with cutting some of it away down to the frame? It should be easy compared to cutting stock shock buckets off

IMO, if you're cutting and welding to do a shock relocate, what's a little more cutting?

As long as everything is still structurally sound, who cares?

Hey, I just got the Taco registered, was on temp tag, I've been servicing it, got it undercoated, so it hasn't been out yet. But I like to go explore Allegheny state park, and there is a nice offroad park called Whispering pines east of Rochester in Lyons NY, which I enjoyed last year, and I want to get back there. I'll keep you in mind, what area are you from?

Alden, not too far from Darien lake. I just got the truck last year and have never done anything off-road but I've been looking to get into it. Ive done some. Minor modifications and want to test them out as well as find some cool places to explore/camp. Maybe we can organize a ride sometime with any others who are not far from this area.

OK, I'd like to do a group outing sometime. And the Whispering Pines place I mentioned is a nice group opportunity for a day trip.

I have been eyeing this thread for a while and think I may be ready to purchase. I have a Dakar leaf pack, considering adding bilstein b110 and 29" brake lines. From what I have read that setup should work fine and I would need a 4" shackle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have 27" brake lines with that setup and they're overkill.

I think you've got the bases covered. With Dakars, 40-45deg shackle angle will require drilling 4 new holes each side, 25deg requires 1 extra hole each side

Thanks for the responses I guess send me the TW code. Now I just have to decide on waiting on the relocation or just going with the b110

I haven't done the measurements and all that jazz, is it really 25deg in the forward position (2nd revision kit I believe) and Dakar's? Looks a little steeper than that.

Hey guys what all are you using to drill out the bracket and frame for the 45 degree? Any pics of it installed in such spot?

ah perfect thanks man! Just got the kit and dakars from @SDkoncepts808 and just making sure I can use it in the same position he had it so I don't have to move anything. Only thing is I'm a long bed and he is a short bed. would that affect which position I use? Ive been trying to catch up on the posts to get some better idea on how to mount it and which position.

The effect would be negligible, I'd say the weight is in the cab, not so much the bed. Feel free to contact me
