No rush, I can wait a bit. If it's only gonna be a couple weeks that would probably be ideal for me anyway.

As the springs are almost perfectly flat, the shackle angle will not increase much, but at droop will probably be almost vertical. Seems fine to me. And how mine are set up too.

Sean wanted least lift, he got about 3/4" with the All Pro expos and the weight he carries.
I am ok with it here, the shackle angle is 45deg, and note that this is jacked up on a jackstand so it probably is less compressed with tire on the ground.
I did recommend the rearmost position which would have been 30 degrees, but a little more lift

Am I wrong in assuming that with the springs flat a shackle angle of 40* is ok? Or that at full droop a vertical shackle is desirable?

No you're correct, it is ok. But I feel it's better to have some positive arch left, which Sean probably does when it's on the ground. To me, if it is working good and ride is good then it's ok. 30 degrees shackle angle with AllPro's is enough for 12" travel tho

Cool. I am getting 12" out of my Dakars, and the ride is awesome.

Those are good lengths and about max compressed length you'd want I believe. You still might need to space bumps to avoid bottoming shocks out

The lengths are very similar to the Bilsteins B110s

I have relocate and home made shackke flip. No holes needed to be drilled for Dakars. HolyHandGrenade runs Archives flip and did not need to do anything out of the ordinary either. I was able to get a good look at this flio kit on his truck, and it is well designed and made. If I didnt already make mine, I would have bought one of these.

Sweet I can't wait to get mine. I'm still a little confused on which holes to use for my set up without drilling new holes. I got AP expedition springs and going to use the 5" shackles

Since you're looking for more lift, you'll be using the very front holes to line up with factory rivet holes

DO NOT buy J66. Deaver U402 expo is what you want. Spring lift is 2.5-3", shackle flip adds about 1", it has a nice length for good shackle angle.

What not the j66? Don't think I want 3-4" of lift in the rear.

With the J66 pack can you not achieve the proper shackle angle? Why are they a bad choice?

Because the J66 are stupid flappy with no weight on them, extreme axle wrap in normal driving.

If you don't want much lift, consider spring under axle conversion

Shackle angle is good, just a stupidly light spring
