Anyone thinking about this flip kit, get it. It's a great product, well built and customer service has been phenomenal. I personally think that the combination of the 5" shackle and the relatively thin nature of the allpro may have been a factor in the leaf snapping.

I think its the springs and crossed them off my list a long time ago because of failures. Nothing to do with the flip or shackle length, my 2 cents, out.

Seen it and think it is bullshit, but if you like cheap springs AllPro may be the way to go. I would try the new Icons before the AllPros but will put deavers on my truck when I can afford them. I don't know a single manufacture that will warrant their springs with a shackle flip. To me the spring broke at the U bolt pressure point.

No, Thyces said he did a reasonable 80-90 lbft.
I don't think he did a single thing wrong, and first and only spring failure with the flip. So I'm looking at probability here, a new spring breaks...

Is it just the angle or do those really hang low?

Here's the long shackle option for the new hangers.

So is this new shackle for SUA or for conventional SOA as well?

    Eric,

Which leaf packs would you recommend for the new Archive Garage Shackle Hanger for SOA?

Also, what are the benefits of the longer shackle vs. stock shackle with your beefy hangers?

I'm a huge fan of your shackle flip (so much droop!), and want to maintain as much droop as I have now.

    A list of good options:
-Stock 3+1 (10" travel or more w/ Energy Suspension bushing kit in shackles)
    -3+1 with 3-leaf AAL Deaver/Wheeler's/Icon
-Deaver Expo U402's 2.5" lift (12-14" travel with up to 4" shackles)
-Edit: OME Dakars are junk (guessing 12-13" travel, short so 4" shackles recommended)
-Alcan is working for really heavy camper rigs (but extra long, shackles might not drop out, not sure on arch either)

-I will steer people away from Allpro springs until they address their function and quality

If you want shackles to rotate all the way down for excellent droop, you have to select the shackle length per attributes of particular springs. I'd recommend starting with stock shackles with Energy Suspension bushings installed, so the rubber bushings don't hinder rotation. The shackles I posted are perfect for SUA, but might be too long for SOA spring length.

    Eric

I'm wondering how does a flip kit work on sua? From what I have seen normally less length on the shackle means more height since it works in reverse which is why traditional flip kits don't really have much advantage in sua as most of the time it would actually lower the suspension since it works in the opposite fashion since it's under the axle instead of on top. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but how could a flip kit work as both an soa and sua application in general?

If you were to approve of Allpro how you would suggest the setup be with your HD shackles? Since that's what I have and I don't want a shackle flip.
