Great job, looks nice. Does it retain the same tow capacity?

Absolutely not, I would never tow with this except for maybe a small little utility trailer, but that won’t ever happen.

what would be the best route to run 14” shocks in the rear? Been eying both your HH and flip kit. My goal is to run 2.0x14” in the rear. The most weight I’ll carry day to day driving is about 100-200lbs of tools in the rear and a tube bumper, when off-road just the spare tire in the bed.

thinking of doing the 2.0 relocation, with shackle flip and 2.0x14” fox shocks or 2.0x13.8 icon shocks. Trying to get the most travel in the back for crawling the rig, but remain daily driving capability.

    thanks!

I would recommend our Hammer Hangers with a light duty aftermarket leaf spring, our Trail 2.0 relocation, check out our Basic Butch package. Hammer Hangers do everything well, even sharpen your handling.

would the hammer hangers not limit the shackles overall travel? Trying to max out 14’s as much as I can without swapping to Chevy 63’s lol

HHs will do more travel than the shackle flip

Making a post for the 5 lug fam!

I've got this on my 2011 5-lug for about a month now and it's been riding great!

Suspension setup prior to lift for context:
    15" wheels, 31" Tires
    4600s w/ a spacer lift up front
5100s w/ AAL in the rear (stock SUA)

Our rivet removal process was as hard as the next guy's, but here's what we found to work. We started by grinding all the rivet heads off and tried drilling them out. The stock hanger was in the way so we just cut those near the frame to create clearance. They're not going back on anyway. After spending an hour drilling a rivet, we pulled out an air hammer. two different air hammer bits, a flat head bit and a point bit. Loud as hell but way faster. A ground rivet was punched every few minutes this way. It was hard getting the air hammer to fit in the fender well, but we had JUST enough clearance to get er done. This was an 8 hour install and 6 of those hours were spent working on the rivets. 2 hrs for literally everything else.

After drilling out the rivets and mocking up brackets, it was clear that they had to go in the foremost position. We drilled 4 new holes using the bracket as a template and this positioned the Upper Shackle Mount directly above the rear spring eye. The stock hole orientation would have resulted in a very negative shackle angle.

With the stock SUA leaf springs (28.5" Eye to Eye) + AAL, foremost position on shackle flip, I achieved a perfect 0-degree vertical shackle at full droop (which is about 2" lower now). 35-degree angle under normal load.

The 5100s are too short for full droop so I picked up some 5125s, have yet to put them on because on top of this, the brake lines are at high tension at full droop. Picked up extended brake lines. Both the brake lines and 5125s are going on soon. For the time being, the 5100s work, but limit the suspension travel to 2" above full droop. Haven't been wheeling on this setup, but haven't had any issues on dirt roads that don't require full droop.

The exhaust hits the shackles at full droop, but otherwise clears it. Can hit the exhaust hanger with a BFH or just cut it if that's a concern. I personally don't care.

@ARCHIVE Just wanted to show props. I used to not be able to do this frame twister, but the extra articulation I got from the 2" extra droop helped.

5125s + Ext. Brake Lines + Shackle Flip SUA + AAL

    Resting - 35-degree shackle angle

Full Droop - 0-degree vertical shackle angle

    3 wheeling this brick/slug

Hey friends! Not sure if it’s already been asked somewhere before but I’m looking for guidance. Years ago I bought the “medium duty” dakar leaf pack but I have added quite a bit of weight over the last few years. Would it be worthwhile to get this shackle flip kit to add back a little bit of height? I’m thinking that I can maintain the ride quality of the medium duty leaf pack, but have the height of the heavy duty leaf pack

Not a good method IMO, it's been done. I'd recommend getting the extra leaf for load (and lift) and get Hammer Hangers for a noticeable increase in ride quality. Read reviews in post #1 here

For those of you with deavers what did you do with your e-brake brackets? Aftermarket? Custom? These don’t look good

You may be able to bend that down.
Or we can sell you a pair of rubber coated clamps. Start a conversation if wanted

I've run Deavers for almost 200K miles, with the e-brake cable like that. I planned on moving it, but has shown no wear.

I got to looking at the cable routing. The "pivot point" is actually the front spring bolt. From the loop to the brake drum, the cable does not really change position.

If one has a shock relocation, especially with 14" shocks, the cable clip at the front spring bolt can cause the cable to get tight under droop, something to watch
