    Bigger battery..Elec in the bed..Topper,
My 07 has a C6 sticker next to the LSD sticker..Right on the rear of the differential...Double check but that means its a LSD w/ 4.300:1 gearing inside...Gotta go inside and check out that intense hum that is so ambient and hard to peg down...The pinion bearing has a clear grind with my stethescope...I am praying for no more damage past the crush sleeve...

A04C is the code thats in my doorjam..According to the LC Engineering site. The A, well, even they don't completely understand it but 2 types of gearing was offered that year. A and B..The 04 is showing that my gear ratio is 4.56..The C is " 2 pinion,LSD ? " with a explanation about older models...bla...AND I'm running Michelin Defender LTX 265/70R17...which depending on several other things, will alter the gearing as well.. Amazing that even though I believe what I'm seeing, LC still has me not convinced...The fact that I'm about to have a nice snifter of bourbon makes everything somehow, fade to the rear of my mind till tomorrow..lol

My axle code is A02A 8" 4.10:1 open but I have the option to shut off lsd when I hold the traction control button in. Doesn't make sense to me.

You have electronic brake actuated simulated lsd, so it makes sense that you can shut it off.

So if I'm understanding this correctly I have a 8" open differential with 3.583:1 gears.
So I just need standard gear oil.

Anyone know the spline count on the 16 AT 8" non locking rear diff? Will the bolt pattern be the same across all Toyota Rear diffs? Trying to source an E locker

7.5" lift on 30 chipped with functional custom ram air intake.
Well my rear end just went out, I've been looking online and everything I've been finding for 2012 TRD is 3,727, 8" pinion. I can't even find a 2012 Mexico mad TRD with the gears the other guy said he had. When it comes to your road dawg, doesn't hurt to triple check the facts sometimes! Gotta love this group!!!

I am looking for the perfect (for me) Tacoma, and I've run into an axle code dilemma that doesn't make sense. Regarding a dealer listing: "2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic" the picture of the door jamb compliance code clearly shows a A04C/A750F. From the chart above that is a 3.72 Limited Slip, but the dealer still has the factory window sticker. you see below with "Elect Cntrl Lock Rear Differential" listed, and there is a RR DIFF LOCK button in the expected location on the dashboard.

Q: According to Jeff's chart, the code should be a A04B So, what gives here?

The long and short of it is that Toyota has applied extremely inconsistent axle codes to the Tacoma since 2010 or so. Some trucks missing the axle code altogether, others having different codes for the exact same axle, others having the same codes for different axles, even at the same plant.

It would be a 3.73:1 with E-Locker, forget the axle code.
