Is there any more info on the product you are developing? Do you have a thread for it?

    There isn't a thread yet.

I want to produce a few different versions so the buyer can determine which one fits their needs and their wallet the best.

One version is near the end of its R & D. Basically a separate adjustment at each of the four corners of the seat mounts. Definitely not the best solution for vehicles with multiple different drivers but should work really well for drivers that set the height and forget about ever changing it once the height is set. This version should be ready within a couple months. It'll be completely plug and play and the installer will only have to turn wrenches to install it. The front adjustment will be adjusted by hand and secure it with a wrench. The rear will be adjusted and set with a wrench.

A second version will be more like a factory (Toyota, Ford, etc) would produce in that both front corners move together and both rear corners move together. I need capital to produce that version but I have the details of it in my head. It will require drilling out factory rivets on the seats rails/frame. I'm hoping to have the final product for sale before 2020 is over.

The final version I would like to make is a power seat retrofit for manual seats. I don't foresee a problem easily beating Toyotas $1,000+ 2020 power seat. I have no idea when this one would hit the market. With the current trend being plug and play parts this one will take more parts, more work, and more research. It will also require drilling out factory rivets.

All versions will be rear passenger foot friendly. They will all be sold with "offroad use only" labeling and they will all be statistically evaluated for strength and compared to the stock setups strength. They will be literally unbreakable under any kind of normal use. A buyer would need a vehicle crusher to break them once they're installed.

OP, I suspect that BA3 is the all inclusive connector, i.e. seat power, SRS, heat, etc.

You're really good at that. I'm not good at that, lol. How exactly do you get these schematics? I'd love to know.

I'll never understand why Toyota made the prior seats sit so low and almost completely unbucketted/flat. Did they not have anyone sit in these seats over the years? They make zero sense, ergonomically.

I think you're asking me, not sure, the 2020 Tacoma power seat I looked at was at a Toyota dealer. I've had my trucks seat out several times, it's a 2006. I've studied the seat a lot. I've also had my friend's 2018 Tacoma seat out as well.

This is something I would like to do but my buddy will probably only give me the seats and not the entire motor assembly. If he doesn't is there a way to put manual adjustment levers on the 2020 power seats?

There is nothing interchangeable between a 2020 power seat and 2005-2020 manual seat other than the entire seat.

The design of the 2020 power seat makes it impossible to turn it into a manually adjusted seat.

My wife’s Prius C has a manual seat height adjustment lever which is all I really need for my Taco. She is 5’1” and I’m 6’3” so every time she drives my truck she has to sit on a pillow. I’d love to see a manual option developed for my drivers seat.

I am only interested in a power seat if it has a memory. That way you set the memory to the exact position that you prefer and then power the seat back and out of the way for easier exit/entrance. Overcomes the limited range of the telescopic steering wheel as well.
