2005 4x4 Brakes are weak

    Have a 2005 Tacoma, replaces the rotors and pads, replaced the rear drums and shoes and the truck just does not want to stop!

    Lots of stuff to check. Brake booster, lines, calipers, hoses, fluid, pads, etc etc etc. They shouldn't be weak obviously.

    Just had the same problem. Re-adjusted rear shoes and all was much better..... until next time since my e-brake still doesn't grab

    When was the last time you bled the brakes? Maybe old brake fluid?

    I'll readjust the rear brakes, but this seems to have been this way since I bought the truck new in 05', After driving my truck I'll get into other vehicle and almost through myself through the window with how I'm used to how they are?

    I always flush the brakes after a brake job, heard these trucks where under braked from the beginning??
