I said I was didn't I? I'm figuring out details but should be ale to swing it. Should take me about 11 hrs IF I drive straight through.

Well it's been nice using the truck again lately. Since the T4T disaster last fall I have regeared both diffs to 4.88s, installed an ARB in the front, and have 6 brand new MTR's as well. Memorial Day Weekend I headed down to a fundraiser event in southern Indiana (5 hrs each way) for Cystic Fibrosis. It is held by the Evansville Area Jeepers and I recommend it to anyone!





It was an awesome family event which had multiple bounce houses and even a kids powerwheels course! So obviously we had to take her FJcruiser down!

This trip was also the first time out on the trails for my daughter and she flat out loved it!





Even got to watch my buddy race in his new buggy!

Last weekend I decided to go on a last minute trip to the Badlands with SupraTT. Man the truck ran smooth down the highway. Literally can cruise 75 mph smooth as butter, even let go of the wheel, and not merely momentarily. I stopped to pick some local wild asparagus (haters can hate, good stuff, 11 lbs of it)



and noticed someone stopping by my truck. A few moments later they drove off and right past me in the ditch picking. They were staring at my truck so hard they didnt even see me waving trying to see what they needed. When I got back to my car I saw what they needed, lol:



He really wanted to make sure I got his info, since it was his business card on the otherside too, same number and all.

SO more on wheeling, I have never been so impressed with the truck I ran obstacles at the badlands I hadn't made in 2 years, and crawled most everything I tried. Even one spot we had deemed unpassable I managed to squeek by (almost on my side, lol). As usual, I didnt get any pictures, but eric got a few random ones of me:

 

Exceeded my expectations both trips, and all I did was air down, and air up. Not so much as a dinged driveshaft

 

Send me some of that asparagus! I need to make it up to the bad lands some time...

 

Bastards should've told me! I would've said FU to the ex, WY could wait!

 

Where was that last pic taken? And wheres the impossible spot? I have a shakedown run in a few weeks.

 

Creek exit? Where you had electrical problems that one trip @NwiTACO?

 

I'd have to show ya but it's in the quarry. Used to make it ifs but was a tie rod buster for sure, then the buggies dug it out. I saw a 4 wheel steer buggy do it once. Straight in from old entrance left hand side of rock face you run smack into.

And Geoff u better inform me of said shakedown date !!

Yea will do. We may be shakeing down joes 80 as well with his redone front suspension at the same time. I dont want my shakedown run to be a 2day drive to south dakota lol. End of july is coming quick and i still dont have a front axle under this thing lol!!

Last resort will be shakeing it down locally on my friends propery, but it can be muddy as hell and if i have to work on it that sucks. Then again the pole barn is 1500ft away from the trails at the farthest point, as opposed to a 3hr drive home.

 

who else has a 2nd gen SAS?
