I am been toying with the idea of selling this thing for a month or two and it makes sense to do so. I got 2 kids and my folks are getting old so they live/travel with me....you see where I am going with this? Minivan time. JUST GOT ONE!
But don't worry, I still have an 07 DC taco at my disposal too...and a old Camry as my daily beater. So here goes:

Sorry if it is too much detail...this is a copy of my CL ad so I dumbed it down for them.

I have a pretty sweet 2005 Tacoma I am considering selling. We just had our second kid and thinking about a third one, might as well bite the minivan bullet now.

This thing is in near perfect condition. Everything works as it should. I got it from the original owner only about 8 months ago.
This is the TRD SPORT edition, meaning it has 17 inch allow wheels, painted bumpers, hood scoop, sport interior seats and sport suspension, running boards, fog lights...ect

    2005 TRD Sport package
    automatic
    4x4
    V6
    double cab
    143k miles
    factory tow package
power windows, locks, remote entry...ect all the standard stuff for a sport model.

It is a pretty sweet truck, but I got a minivan...$15,800 is my current asking price as of 10/4/11
The title is clear of liens and in hand.

    The bad
-The blower fan motor is a little noisey, I think I saw a cleaning DIY here somewhere. Nothing serious.
-Rust free except the gas door hinge, I just use extra care, but I imagine there is a way to fix it.
-The brakes pulse a little when braking hard, barely noticable (resurface of rotors needed)

Also, as you can see I use it to tow sometimes. handles great, don't even know it is back there most of the times. I only tow corollas/integras with it and generally only 40 miles at a time and on the highway at night with no traffic. It has a 6500 lbs tow capacity and I think my combo comes up with well under 4000 lbs. I must have done it 10-12 times during the 10 months and 5-8k miles of my ownership. The previous owner never used it for towing for the 135k miles he had it.

THE BLACK ONE IS FOR SALE: (more pics to come)

Just a thought: You are about 33% above blue book for this trim at this mileage in excellent condition. May be part of your difficulty selling.

I don't trust blue book (especially on toyotas), but I did just checked recent sales at the dealer auctions...all in average condition
138k on TRD sport DC sold for 13,300
132k on TRD sport DC sold for 13,300
111k on TRD sport DC sold for 13,100
110k on TRD sport DC sold for 13,500
(not mileage is not a big factor, 27k more miles is only a $200 price drop!)

My price is probably a little high, but since dealers are paying these prices+fees and reconditioning...maybe 14K? and still probably making money, I thought it would be fair at 16obo.

I wasn't really that interested in selling, but I bought something else so now I am more flexible. And this it the Washington DC area....1/2" of snow and it will sell like ice cubes in hell.

A guy I work with just picked up an 05 sport prerunner with a little under 100k miles for 15k and change. If I would've seen this before he purchased I would've sent him your way. Sorry man. Good luck with the sale!

I'm from the DCA so I know that 4x4 can come in handy with all four seasons, but I know that thing would sell like hot cakes in SD. I've seen people buy for more and less. (I work for a dealership part-time.) Honestly fuck the haters, people are always going to be disgruntled about something on a forum... Since you're in no rush keep it like that and someone will nibble eventually IMO; If not on TW then craigslist, flyers, etc. Anyways... GLWS
