Hey all I am looking to buy a Tacoma v6 4l or 3l. But the images are high 250 k to over 325 k. Are there issues with trannys at this mileage or other common thing. Like Ford's trannys always fail in this area. Or should I go with something less that 200 k

I would not go near that truck unless you can do your own work. I think you should get something with less miles. There is a thread about a truck with 400k look it up and see what to expect as far as future maintenance.

I have no problem doing my own work. I'm pretty good with diagnosing issues and repair. But just wondering if Tacoma have a common issue at x mileage. Like Ford's transitions everyone I know who had a ford there trannys went at 250000 kms.

Head gasket on 05-06 leaked at about 100k one guy made it to 380k, I think before blew the head gasket and swapped a low mile engine in.
