Well, Lets start at the beginning. At the age of 15 (1.5 yrs ago) I bought my first Tacoma, A manual transmission 2004 Tacoma regular cab with a 3 inch lift and gloss black 32's. It wasn't a perfect truck, but this rig was my pride and joy.

This winter disaster struck. Driving after a snow storm in 2WD put me on my roof. She was totaled. Now I was without a vehicle in the most busy season of the year for me. (No body got hurt)

Now, after over a month, I have a new Tacoma. A 2005 Access Cab. Not my first pick, but it has only 83,000 miles on it. It is all stock except for aftermarket wheels.

So now I am broke. I do plan on adding to this truck with an over-landing goal, but it will take time. I will re-post to this thread when I start doing mods. My first things I plan to do just to make it my own is to get a Bluetooth adapter for the stereo and put in a leveling kit. These are cheap so I might be able to do it sooner than later. I would appreciate any guidance and/or help I can get with this build, so feel free to comment with thoughts.

Unfortunate about your old truck but shit happens & no injuries is a blessing. Your new truck looks real sharp. Best of luck with it.

You are not yet 17? I’d say you are doing very well for yourself. Congratulations.

You can legally drive at 15? Or farm driving

by the time you do Graduated Licensing here you’re usually 17-18 before you can go out on your own

Sorry to here about your 2004 Tavoma. But the important thing is, is thst you are okay.

Congratulations on the 2005!!! She looks great.

First thing I'd do is change 'all' the fluids, the serpentine belt, filters etc. Start fresh.

Yes I have heard a lot about the timing belt and stuff like that. Thankfully for me the guy who had it before me took really good care of it. It only has 83,000 miles on it!!

Glad to hear you walked away from the wreck... that was a very nice 1st Gen and looks to be a very nice replacement 2nd Gen. Sounds like with your work ethic you will be able to get the new one set up the way you want it soon. Please keep posting your progress. Good luck to you!

Nice looking truck, I didn’t like the impulse red pearl when I first got my truck from my grandpa but it’s grown on me a lot.
