Just replacing the ball joints in my 2005 Tacoma. These suckers are in there

I'm using a ball joint press with a huge breaker bar and I've heated the lower control arm with a propane torch, they won't budge at all. I can hit the threaded stud upwards and it moves the ball joint up a bit, but I can't get these to come down at all. Yes, I've removed the c-clip.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or any ideas to get these suckers to come loose?

If you have another vehicle i would take the arms off and just have shop press them out.

I know this is an old thread, but how did you end up replacing the lower bj? how much did this job cost (parts and shop press time)?
