Hey so my new frame should be completed soon.
What do you think it's value is now?
    It's 2005 reg cab 2.7L 5spd 4x4. I think 130K.
Also, where do you think it would be most appealing? ih8mud, expedition portal?
Just trying to get ideas. I got a wife and 2 kids, reg cab just not as practical but I am not gonna give away damn near new truck
    Thanks

A 10 year old truck w/ 130k is a far cry from a "damn near new truck"... and I really haven't seen a significant increase in value for a reframed truck, because theoretically anyone could buy a rotted frame truck that was less than 15 year sold and have it reframed under the recall at no cost to them.

NADA, KBB check it for your ZIP code and there's your rough estimate of worth, new or old frame.

I am thinking 10kish,if I found someone who wanted it..( upon further review of Tacomas across the country, 10K is pretty darn good price!!) A new frame and suspension with 130k isn't brand new but heck of alot closer than it used to be. 2.7 and manual are just getting warmed up. I will end up keeping it and driving to and from work, hauling wood, and running trails and fields. Should last me another 12 with replacing parts here and there. In my mind it will be damn near new. I haven't seen any tacoma for sale with rotted frames but maybe that's a way to make some money.

I checked around Ohio via internet, 10k seems like a good price. After looking at a bunch 0f similar 2005's across USA it's a pretty darn good price.
I am thinking the new frame and parts would actually help the price. No?
    Why?

Does KBB or NADA apply to Tacomas?

Look at it from the buyer side.

If you were shopping for a truck like yours, with those miles, how would you determine what you'd be willing to pay?

I don't think the new frame 'raises' the value at all. I think it just protects the value, because basically it's just a solid truck (what you'd expect, right?) that still has 130k & 10 year old driveline/electronics/body/interior.

Folks thin on green might find $10k an appealing price. Ones shopping for value, who can afford to pay more for what they pick, might not.

Clearwater, I agree somewhat. If I were given the choice between 2 tacomas ,one having a new frame and the other the orignal, I would pay more for newer frame. Just my opinion.
N.gardner, from what I have noted, kbb price estimates do not reflect what actual prices are for tacomas. I have heard this phenomenon called the tacoma tax. Give it a try, kbb a used tacoma and then compare to prices on autotrader, cars.com, Craig's list.
