I recently replaced my wiper blades on my 05 Taco . I moved the drivers side arm down when done . Then when I tested , drivers side wiper only came up 3/4 of way . So I moved the arm ( engine off and wipers off) up just a little . I tested and noticed it seemed to be working ok . We recently go some serious rain and I had to use wipers on speed 1 . Passenger side wiper broke and made contact with drivers side and caused my wipers to go out of sync . I moved them again when I replaced blade . I know something g is not correct now . Is there a way to take arms off and do a reset ?

    The arms should be splined.
Hopefully you didn’t damage the splines.

You can remove the nut that holds down wiper, pull the wiper OFF and then put it back on in the correct position. But make sure you check the splines for damage.

I just pulled arm off. It was so very loose . I put it back on as close as I could to original position and tightened it . Tested it and seemed to work ok on all speeds and intermittent. Since I work at Oreilly , Im going to order new arms and replace anyway.
    Thanks !!
