What do you mean by hard start?
Do you mane it cranks over slow or it takes a long time to start?

    It bogs while cranking?
    Or fires up and bogs?

It could be anything form a sensor to clogged fuel injectors (not likely, but possible)
Do you have a scan tool? Do you have a check engine light on or any codes?

I do it's giving p2441 p445 and P0418. All present went bought the truck 3 years ago. And bogs before cranks and right after it starts up.

It looks like you have an issue with the secondary air injection system.
I’m not too familiar with that system, as my truck doesn’t have that.
@Dm93 knows more about it. Until he can respond, I’ll see what I can find in order to help.

Without a scope you can’t do much other than check resistance, opens, and shorts.
    I guess you could start there.IMG_0240.jpgIMG_0241.jpg IMG_0242.jpg

Ok thanks just started doing this out of the blue. Little puzzled cause really thought it was gonna be the fuel pump. And it did improve. Was also thinking the evap purge valve might be bad. Cause before we changed the pump no at the check valve.

    I don’t have a reference for a p0445 code on a 2.7
Are you sure it’s not p0455?

I don't think the secondary air codes have anything to do with the long crank.
I would want to have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up when the long crank occurs and see if fuel pressure is correct or is slow to come up and also to make sure it doesn't bleed off after the engine is turned off.

Yeah. The “better after fuel pump” has me leaning that way too. But the 418 code sets on a cold engine start. Plus, me be unfamiliar with SAIS I really don’t know. I am just glad I don’t have it on my truck.

Well we got a few things we're gonna change just cause we have never changed them but still I am just puzzled. It's definitely something with fuel and blocked I believe. If anyone has any ideas my ears are open.

Fuel pressure gauge is relatively inexpensive, if I had it at the shop for a long crank complaint fuel pressure would be my first check.

We watched a few things yesterday. Scary but 2 ideas crank position sensor or the computer. Gonna get a Guage to test fuel pressure today.

Never seen a PCM cause a long crank, crank sensor is a possibility but they typically set a code.
I think fuel pressure is a good first check.
