Dumb, but no troll. I briefly googled this and got an overload of info. I want to drain and fill my Tacoma radiator because somebody stupidly (me) poured about 3-4 oz of contaminated salty liquid (not coolant) from the Toyota coolant bottle in it before realizing what it was.

So I would like to just drain the radiator and refill with Toyota fluid. I need the capacity and a suggestion on burping. I'm unsure if I need to burp it doing this, so appreciate if recommended to get one of those large cups for this project. I'd rather not buy it if not necessary.

    2006 base, manual, 2.7L
    205,000 miles
Driven < 2,000 miles per year right now
    Drives great

If I was that concerned I would drain the radiator and the block. Then go ahead and fill with clean water, start, warm it up to operating temperature ,shut down, let it cool down. Then drain the radiator, and the block. Fill with water and coolant mixture again and call it a day.

About 2 gallons so either 2 gallons of 50/50 pre-mix or a gallon of full strength and a gallon of distilled water.

It's best to use a spillproof funnel to fill it if you don't have a vacuum fill tool so you can allow it to run with the funnel in place to top it off.
