2006 4.0 Squealing after alternator replacement

    In my opinion, it wouldn't hurt to take the connection back off, clean it really well and put some super lube, or dielectric grease on it. I'm a big fan of that stuff. I even put a light smear on the base of wedge based bulbs (NOT headlight bulbs) before installing.

    Said another way, a loose electrical connection will lead to arcing. This arcing will burn off the protective plating and allow the metal to corrode very quickly.
