The water pump arrived today. The old water pumps bearings are wasted, I don't understand how it held any water, or why it was relatively quiet for a bad pump. Either way it's getting done today.

I have an extra bolt. There's a housing between the water pump and the thermostat, I don't know what it's called. If I don't know the name of it I can't find it on the internet. I type in thermostat housing and all I see are thermostats and the housing I'm referring to, but the pictures are always in a useless to me direction. Phone won't stop ringing either, calls and texts. I'm getting upset from distractions and this one bolt that I don't know where it goes. Technically I know which part it holds, it holds that housing, but I can't find a unused hole for it. Frustrating...

Turn off the phone, take a break, and find where it goes. You're almost done.

Put the phone on silent. Drank half a beer. Took that housing off and took a picture just in case another idiot like myself runs into the same damn thing.

    Time to finish that beer.

If its still off, clean the fan, so the engine isn't trying to spin the weight of the dirt stick to it.

edit: that's not blood. It's silicone used sparingly in the bolt threads. I had to remove the pump to find the hole, lol, and the silicone was fresh and getting everywhere. It got cleaned up;)

I couldn't find the hole under the B in BOLT. It could have bit me.

Good tip. That pink antifreeze builds up like crazy from a leak.

I have a little previous experience with high end wake board boats and their serpentine belts. I put it on before the fan and shroud. I also figured out a 13/16" socket fits the plastic drain plug on the radiator. I didn't put a ratchet on it but it sure made easy work for my arthritic hands.

    Crude but it worked, lol
