2006 6 disc factory head unit plug?

I've searched and couldn't find the answer, sorry if it's a repeat.

I'm trying to replace my 2006 6 disc head unit with a dual din, DVD player.

When removing the unit, there seems to be a plug that I don't know what to replace it with on the new harnesses from Scosche or ********* SWI.

Any ideas what this plug does, if I just don;t use it, what functionality am I losing?

the 6 disc model number is 86120-04130, pansonic (apparently) made in mexico

I was wondering about this plug as well. I also have the SWI so its not like i missed out on hooking anything up. I basically ignored it and there is no loss of functionality.
