Hey I'm hoping you guys can help me. I have a 2008 Pre runner 4.0 2WD automatic. I need a new transmission. I think I found an automatic transmission but its out of a 2006 Tacoma 4.0. Is it the same or close enough to work? What about the torque converter is it the same? Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking that the valve body had some kind of change somewhere along the line.... not positive on that though.

Yea I was looking at this kit before as an option for repairing my transmission. This shows 2005 to 2007 and then 2008 to 2011..... So guessing there definately is a difference.
