Even if he got a new frame, is it worth it to overpay for that truck and then let it sit for weeks @ a dealership for a frame replacement? What if he encounters problems getting the dealer to honor the replacement?

    Ain’t worth it too me....

Yeah you have a point there, especially if I paid 18k and change for mine at 32k miles and its a 2008.

I agree. Low miles but still seems steep to me

Checked it on NADA and with the TRD off road and SR5 package its just over 16k clean retail. Average is just over 12k.

Edit:This is for the New England area

I have been looking for a few months and I'm not finding a trd off-road under 18k unless really high miles or it's 2004 and older

I know what you mean, I was looking everywhere for a while and almost gave up. Then I found my 2008 with 32k on it in Boston. They are rare, but it is a Toyota so higher mileage isn't necessarily a deal breaker unless it was poorly maintained.

Did you check out https://www.cargurus.com/ they have a lot of Tacoma's on there. I found a 2009 TRD 4x4 with V6 with 52k and a little less then 19k not far from me.
