I have silver 2006 Taco with top edge of fender flares slight fading white. How to fix this? Is it easy to take flares off and repaint them? How many coats and just a spray can of enamel correct color to the vehicle? Do I need clear coat protection or area not large enough to worry about. I have mud flats may have to unbolt. What about that molding cord that goes between flare and truck body? It still looks silver can I retain it? How to reseat it back in place tight without loose ends? Other option was looking at the pocket flares with the fake studs. Looks more sporty but don't know if they have bolt stud holes to put mud flaps back on. And would I need a lift kit or not. My wheels and tires fit well under existing stock flares. I don't want to jack truck higher with lift kit and lose my center of gravity making truck more likely to roll over on high speed turns. It hugs road well.
