Finished running the oil cooler lines this morning. Just have to finish wiring in the wideband for the Haltech (no gauge tho) and then start the break-in and tuning. We have about 3 heat cycles on the initial break-in already. So yeah, the car is running!

I'll have better pics this evening, these are pics my buddy sent me.

First street drive done. Nothing crazy, still not tuned. Mainly just around the block to make sure everything is working and that we have no leaks or oddities. DCCD is still broken, has been since I got the car and even after replacing both console switches and the NPS, which were some of the error codes I pulled back when I first got the car. Something we will work on after dyno tuning. I've got FreeSSM to troubleshoot that.

Dyno tuning starts next week, with several "breaks" for oil/filter changes. Not tuning for E yet, just 91 pump gas for now. E will come sometime in October/November. My guess is around 420 WHP on 91.

I did have to do some minor trimming and clearancing on the underside of the hood to make room for the oil cooler fittings. It's still pretty close in a couple spots but should be fine otherwise. I need to get some more paint from Grimmspeed to make that edge look nice again.

Hard to tell in the pics but the oil cooler actually sits at a slight upward angle, putting the majority of it into the direct airflow of the hood scoop. We are hoping this should really help with oil temps during the hot Tucson summers.

I used some cloth tape on the fittings coming out of the oil cooler to help protect them from rubbing on the intake. I need to get a new intake scoop and trim it as the other one I have, I managed to trim too much on top and it now looks like ass.

Not the greatest pic but the oil cooler lines run down along side the radiator on the passenger side.

Front O2 sensor is not getting used so I removed that and plugged the hole. This also helped creating more room for the sandwich plate and cooler lines. We also removed the OEM oil cooler because adding the sandwich plate to that put the oil filter too close to the the Killer B headers, making it difficult to remove and prone to major heat soak.

Installed a new BOV flange on one of the original IC pipes. There are only 2 new pipes in the system, on the hot side going through the Cobb intake box. We played mix and match with the old pipes to find this one and only had to add the flange to it. Can't really see it in the pic but the wideband wire harness runs into the cabin through the same hole I used for the ProSport gauges.

I've also got JD Customs bumper quick releases to install still. - https://jdcustomsusa.com/collection...r-quick-release-kit-2006-2007-impreza-wrx-sti

April/May? After it's cold and before it's hot. Also after the rust is done in Indiana.

Got the front bumper reinstalled with the quick release buttons, did another oil/filter change after the Monday and Tuesday dyno sessions and then got the undertray installed. From there, we took the car out for some street tuning and 3rd/4th gear pulls to get it dialed in some more. So nice to be driving the car again! I forgot how much I enjoy driving the car, it just drives damn nice. Still at the shop today to fix the AC but otherwise, it's ready to come home now. I'll get some updated pics once I get the car cleaned up.

Took at drive up Mt Lemmon here in Tucson this morning. Nice to get out of the heat for a bit. High 60s on the mountain and 99/100 here at my house. Car ran great, no issues. Tons of power on tap whenever I wanted or needed. I missed driving this car, it's so much fun!

Just needs some minor tweaks to the map to adjust cold idle issues with the AC on. When the AC clutch engages, idle dips pretty low. All fixable in the map tho.

Titan Missile Silo site near me. Did this a while back, after I first bought the car.

And I discovered that my fuel level sender is only reading down to half tank. Ran out of gas on the way home. Have to pull the sending unit back out of the tank to address that so it will have to wait until mid-October.

    Nice looking STI man.
    I had to chuckle a litttle;

Mine is an 07 USDM (in Canada) with not quite so many mods as yours...
Once I get more done on the Tacoma, I need to finish working on the 03 WRX Wagon in the garage and get to doing rings and throw out bearing on the STI.

That said, I caught myself doing some mental gymnastics - if you're going as far as taking the engine and transmission out, you might as well upgrade all the internals, intake, turbo, up-pipe, down pipe, flywheel, clutch, suspension, and a tune...

    Tis but a slippery slope.

Been a while. Finally got around to adding E85. Tuned for it today as well as cleaning up the original 91 tune.

Here's where it's sitting on 91 pump gas.

    E85 sensor installed.

Smokey out the tailpipe because it's over powering the AOS. So we unplugged it after this vid.

This is where we stopped. Only 77% injector duty cycle, so there's more there but this is more than good enough for the street. It also over powered the clutch in 4th gear on a street pull, so I might need to replace the clutch with something stronger.
