Well, at this rate, I'll be lucky if it's done by my birthday in April. Wasn't expecting to have to buy new heads.

Power goal is around 500-ish wheel. That will be on E85 tho. Probably around 450 or a little less on 91. It was making 340 wheel, even with a tired motor.

    6th to be exact :fistbump:

No worries! Don't know if you saw but I got a new job last week so I've been plenty busy.

Sell the bike yet? Too fast for me otherwise I'd want it :anonymous:

Yes, saw that, gave you a congrats too.

Nada on the bike. Which is really confusing and disappointing to me. Been trying to sell it for like 6 months now and have had like 2 nibbles. Never had this much of a problem selling a vehicle before. It's priced as a steal too.

Slow progress. Have lots of parts on order and waiting for it all to come in. Heads will probably take a few months before I can get new ones, they're fucking expensive! Still slowly working on cleaning things up, repainting or painting stuff as needed. Cleaned up what I could reach on the top of the tranny and installed a new braided clutch line. Can't bleed it until everything is reassembled tho. Slowly working on straightening the AC condenser fins to help with airflow thru it. I'll probably get some bug screen to put in front of it to minimize damage from rocks and bugs.

Some parts are starting to trickle in now. Picked up a reman starter last weekend, so that's covered. Received the Radium TGV deletes and fuel filter kit today.

Gotta love it when the daily becomes a project. I'm gonna be tearing into my 2003 WRX to find out where the burning oil is coming from :annoyed:

Seriously! I knew I was going to do a motor in this car at some point, just didn't expect to have to do it 4000 miles into owning it. And I am far too invested in it now, both time and money, to try and sell it off.

Oof. I think my issue is external so I'm gonna check a couple of things like the PCV system, the valve itself is fine but whatever the hell it's called thats connected on the other end of the line is caked in grime so I have a feeling it MIGHT be that, then I'm gonna double check the turbo even though it was rebuilt about 2 years ago now. Once I figure out the problem and get it fixed I'm putting it up for sale. I honestly just don't want a manual anymore. If I decide to keep it and build it I'm gonna probably bug the crap out of you with questions :anonymous:

I've got a ton of sources for building up a Subie now. If you keep it, hit me up!

Got the fuel filter and brake brace in place, connected to the feed line from the tank. Just less shit to do later and less parts floating around.

MOAR parts! Bunch of OEM replacement parts for the motor showed up today. Mainly small hoses for oil and coolant to replace the 15 year old versions. Got a new crossover pipe for the motor, the old one had some corrosion that I wasn't too excited about. Also new fan shrouds.

Put the fans all back together after slightly modifying the shrouds for the FMIC pipes. Using 2 AC condenser fans to help with the cooling too, 1 of which replaces the stock 5 blade fan. The condenser fan has 7 blades and flows a little more air.

Finally figured out how to get to the cabin filter. The whole glovebox assembly has to come out. PITA. I don't think the filter has ever been changed tho. Replacement on order.
