So I had a squealing sound come from under the hood and the AC button was blinking. I brought it to the dealership and they informed me the AC needed to be replaced. So they ordered the parts and today they were supposed to fix it. However, this morning they called and said the bolts are so corroded that there is a chance the block will be damaged if they continue. So basically they are saying I need to replace the block to fix the AC!! Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Yea, post your questions in the correct category. This would be 3rd Gen Tacomas. Try the 2nd Gen section.

    1. R U N from that dealer.

    2. Post up your issue in the correct forum area to ensure maximum chance you run into someone who's faced similar truck issue.

I don't want to sound like a dick, but then why do we have 1st, 2nd, 3rd Gen sections?
OP, find a competent mechanic OTHER than a dealer. Too many times they are just after volume.
