2006 tacoma Access Cab Keyfob

Just bought this truck and have a question. Did it come with a key fob to lock and unlock the doors? If so can I buy one that will work?

If your key has the chip (immobilizer) there's a little car blinking if the key is out of the ignition under the radio next to the clock
Then yea, buy one on eBay and program it yourself (intructions online)

 

The immobilizer doesn't mean squat as far as the remote Fob goes. I have a remote Fob and no chip...

Get the dealer to check the VIN Number ( some of the techs on here could also ) to see what it came with. If it has the remote system from the factory yes you can buy a Fob off ebay etc and have it programmed.

 

No it does not. I do have the ele locks on the drivers door. Do you think there might be a after market kit.

If you have the electric locks, you should be able to buy a Tacoma FOB from ebay and get the truck programmed at the dealer.
