Hi, New to this so I am sure it has been covered, but looking for some clarification. I have a 2004 Extra Cab Tacoma, 2wd, 4cylinder and I am looking at buying a used canopy off an 2006 Tacoma that is a V6, 4x4, Extra Cab. The canopy is located 8 hours away so I want to make sure it is going to fit before I drive out there!
Im wondering if these trucks would have the same box size? Seems the length is the same, I'm more concerned of the box depth as this canopy is the style where you remove your tailgate and it has two doors.
My 2004 measures - 74 1/2" long, 56" wide(inside rail to rail), the tailgate height is 18 1/2"(from rear bumper to top of tail gate with tailgate closed, 16" inside bed height(bottom of bed to rail height).
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks

2nd gen ('05+) beds are different dimension than 1st gen ('96-'04) beds. The canopies are not interchangeable.
