Hello!!! Thanks for adding me to the group!!

I have a problem. I changed the timing chain on my 1grfe 4.0 engine and was able to align all the marks on the camshafts and crank easily by hand but after I installed the new chains I couldn't get the crank pulley to rotate as before to check if the timing was correct. It is very hard so I didnt force it. Should I remove the chain again and realign everything? Every mark on the chain is where its supposed to be.

That's very interesting, I'm assuming you still have the covers off?
If everything is timed correctly it should rotate freely unless something wasn't installed properly (idler gear perhaps?).
You don't happen to have a manual transmission and left it in gear maybe?

I still have the covers off. I was trying to do a final check on the chain by rotating it twice to make sure the marks were still aligned but ran into this problem. And it's it's automatic

I'd remove cams and see if the engine turns with no valves down.

    Something is wrong.

Something is def wrong. Don't force it. Pull the cams and see as stated above.
