Busted the rear driver side window last week....long story...couldn't find a write up or vid out there on the internets by anyone who's replaced one, so I figured I'd do one. Got the glass off eBay for about $75.

Pull the interior door covering (plenty of vids out there on how to do this), then gently peel off the plastic moisture barrier, and remove the speaker. All the bolts for this install are 10mm. 20210423_144806.jpg
pull the window control switch out of the door covering and plug it back in and run the control arm down to where you can access the 2 glass mounting bolts.

Pull the weather stripping around the top and sides of the opening. You might be able to get the new glass in without removing it, but I wanted as much room to work as possible. It comes off and goes back on fairly easily.

In order to get the glass in you'll have to remove the outside track. Pull the rubber grommet off to access the lower bolt.

It comes right out the top...a little trickier getting it seated on the edge of the new glass once its in place.

After you've vacuumed out all the busted glass, slide the new glass down onto the control arm from the inside of the window opening and get it seated onto the mounting points. Also be sure the edge is seated in the inside track. I found it easier to get to the other bolt thru the speaker hole, but there is another rubber grommet above the speaker meant for getting to it as well.

Slide the outside track back down onto the window edge and bolt it back into place, replace the weather stripping and give the window a test to make sure it opens and closes smoothly before putting everything back together.

Awesome documenting I’ll refer to this if my glass breaks, how long did this take?

Maybe 2 hours. Now that I have it figured out I could probably do another one in less than an hour.

Thanks for the write up. Some tool bag busted out my passenger back window over the weekend and stole 8 bucks. I'll be using this as a reference for sure.

Thank you very much for this write up. It was very hard to find instructions/videos for the back seat window.
