Hey everyone trying to do this lbj replacement on my Tacoma and saw the write up on here and followed it exactly. On the drivers side everything had went smoothly and took me about 30 minutes once I had all the correct tool. Now the passenger side on the other hand that’s a different f*%#ing story. No matter how many times I try the joint will not go in straight no way no how using Moog joints and an otc ball joint press with an adapter kit joints have been lubed up generously with anti seize and the holes have all been cleaned out. Not sure what the problem is any help would be lovely!

Saw a post recently where the moog ball joint shells were too big by a few thou. Do you have a caliper to measure? There can sometimes by an art to getting them satarted. Careful tapping to get them started is sometimes better than going straight to the press.

Try putting the LBJ in the freezer overnight and, when you're ready to go, heat the LCA with a map gas torch for a few minutes until it's good and hot. Have the press tool at the ready, run and grab the LBJ out of the freezer and make haste to press it in.

Most bearings I've done this way don't even require a press (they just slip in by hand) but it sounds like your LBJ is tight so will likely need some help from your press tool.
