My Office Road double cab has 237k miles. The transmission has been slipping for 6 months and now it's pretty constant. I haven't priced a transmission replace but I image it will be at least 6-7k. Engine appears to be good. I've replaced most of the suspension and it has new tires.
Budget Options would be to replace the transmission or buy something like a 2010, same trim.
    This is my everyday drive.
I'm just curious about what some of you guys think would be the best choice
    Thanks

I’d shop around for a few quotes to replace it.
Personally I’d swap it out myself, been there, done that on many other vehicles. But not everyone has that ability / tools

The 6 to 7K was just a guess. Anybody else have any experience replacing the transmission on price?

Cost will vary greatly from shop to shop and from region to region. The only way you are going to get an accurate estimated cost is to get estimates from local shops. Would suggest avoiding a dealer as the estimate may be thousands more than independent shops. Depending on what the problem is you may be able to have it rebuilt which may be a lot less expensive than replacement.
