I’m looking at a 2006 Tacoma SR5 with 200,000 miles for $8,900. It has a suspension (I think) rattle and some pull to the left but otherwise a great frame, strong engine, and relatively clean paint and interior. Is that a decent price? And worst case scenario, what would you suggest putting into it now to get another 100000 miles?
Seller is very difficult to understand (language barrier) and he bought it to sell so I don’t know Maintenance history. He does say he thinks the issue is a ball joint
    TIA!

At 200k I'd want a compression test. Not by seller, but someone I know.

And does 'great frame' mean you probed, hammered and looked inside the boxed areas?

When a known flipper is your seller, be sure he has a clean title in hand, non salvage, and that CarFax doesn't have any weirdness.

Can't speak to the price, they vary by area so much. But you should specify if it's 4wd, if that works well, engine type, transmission type, cab style, tire condition, etc.

Otherwise the best anyone can do is

Something just doesn't pass the smell test, and buying from someone you can't even communicate with is a no no.

If V6 the 2006 were known to have head gasket issues. Might be okay for a lower price. Have it inspected by mechanic.
