    Hello guys,

First time buying a truck and wanted to ask for some opinions before I pull the trigger. Trying to buy it from a private dealer. He originally asked for $14500 CAD but came down to $13000CAD.

There were multiple service records posted on Carfax but from it I can't tell if anything else will fall apart.

    Any inputs will be appreciated!

Here is the information I have

2007 TACOMA DOUBLE CAB LONG BED
    4.0 6CYL
    332,050KM
    ONE OWNER
    CLEAN TITLE

    Accident/Damage
    -$2678 CAD in 2016

    2017 @ 233,000KM
    -Front brake pads replaced

    2018 @ 262,000KM
    -Drive belt idler pulley replaced
    -Driveshaft universal joints replaced
    -Serpentine belt replaced

    2019 @ 265,000KM
    - CV boots replaced
    - Front struts replaced
    - Muffler replaced

    2021 @ 299,000KM
    - Exhaust pipe replaced

    2023 @ 300,000KM
    - Transmission fluid changed

*Don't really see any service records between 2007 ~ 2016.

*I've checked the frame in person and it was pretty clean for its age no rots or anything. The dealer told me previous owner changed it to a new one (not sure if it was that campaign Toyota did regarding the rusting frame or out of his pocket)

    Thanks in advance guys!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
If it’s got a clean frame, I say go for it.

I think it depends how much you would be willing to spend on keeping it running, if you plan on keeping it for a while.

If it has a new frame like you said, I would say that’s probably a decent deal but not a great one. You could probably still get another 200K miles out of it without any major issues if it’s been taken care of properly (sorry for the miles talk…dumb American here lol).

I know a lot of people here on TW have trucks around that year make it to 400,000 miles and more without too many major issues.

Installed a Pop n Lock,,That's it !..Bone stock
You just have to hope those 330K miles were serviced correctly and driven well...But one owner is a good sign...

I just sold my son's 2007 AC with 206K on it for $9500. Replaced tires, brakes, shocks, struts, battery, tranny fluid, alternator, complete a/c, radio, remote starter, added power locks headlights, tail lights and fog lights. When we bought it the frame and all brake lines were replaced. Zero accidents with a very clean Carfax. Had it since 160K and used synthetic oil. Great truck but when he was home on leave from the USCG around Christmas he bought a brand new Ford Maverick Tremor. I almost sold my 22 SR5 to drive the 2007 but decided not to. Have a great day

A 18 year old truck with 330,000KM (205.0525 Miles), frame replaced for $13K CDN. Questionable maintenance history past 2016 but with known 2nd gen Tacoma reliability. It could go either way. May start needing many items repaired or replaced moving forward or you get lucky and it's just basic maintenance.

What would insurance pay if it was written off? How many KM's do you plane to put on it a year? Will it be your primary vehicle?
