Guys, I am in the market for an industrial truck cap. I found one for a six foot 3rd gen tacoma. Will this cap fit my 2nd gen reg cab?

Thank to all of you in advance

I know it's been discussed before and something about the front of the bed being a different height

I was looking at a 17 at work with a cap for my 09, the tailgate is different as well. The 3rd gens are curved and come out past the bed where the 2nd gens just go straight across. From just looking at it I don’t think it would work without modifications, and at that point probably look horrible and leak.

Anytime, I just saw another thread where someone had a 2x4 between the cap and bedrail to make up the difference in space.
