2007 generation stereo compatible with 2001?

    I'd like to upgrade my 2001 regular cab cassette stereo to a CD.
    I've found someone with a stock CD player from 2007. Would this
    be a "drop in" compatible upgrade?

    Always working on the stereo, painted the front skid plate black to match the truck, debadged , toy tech ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper Looking into a supercharger and new exhaust.
    No. Different size opening in the dash and different wiring harness.
