Yea I do miss that aspect but jockeying it around the other boat trailers and utility trailers in the driveway and yard just made the decision easier.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
To be honest, the short wheelbase gets old in the 40. I sold mine about a year ago, as I wasn’t driving it :( The 80 is the way if you want old LC style with more modern stuff, like AC.
My 80 could take the most beating off-road then all of them I have had.

yeah i feel like ultimately the 40 is def a 3rd vehicle, def a luxury item to have for sure. Wife is probs gonna get an electric jeep 4xE in a bit and maybe thatll open the door to a 40 lol. or a Tesla shit.

    im all for it

Nah just an enclosed for storing furniture and an old utility trailer that I use for random stuff here and there now that I don’t have a truck bed.

We’re keeping our eyes open for a good 80 but those 60s just look nice. Luckily for me the wife is onboard with any cruiser we find.
Everybody likes a nice cruiser thread!

got the floor mats in a few days ago but didnt post any pics lol. wanted to switch up from weathertechs for once.

they're not as coverage heavy but they're def still high quality and whatever spillover i get is fine. the LC carpet is super soft and lets dirt and sand go easily

    yeah i really like them!

bingo. Paying homage to the OG BFGs.

Got the tires mounted and balanced today. No issues whatsoever and took it on the interstate at 80 and no vibrations. Tires def have an audible hum on the interstate but nothing the volume knob didnt fix. All in all aint nothing wrong with them so far. Will report back in 5k miles (258k).

went for 275/65/18. The rumors about their tires running big appear to be true. Huge difference but still no rubbing so im happy.

Oh yeah, i washed and did a clay bar + 1 step paint correction and slapped some Turtle wax ceramic spray on it and she she repels water still like no ones business. Did the engine bay as well to make sure it wasnt leaking anything. Washed some oil buildup and nothing new has appeared so was pleased to see that as well. Threw the engine cover in the trash because.. who needs an engine cover lol.

Did the same within weeks of ownership when I grabbed my GX. The process takes time but we'll worth the effort.
