oh yeah, i did it on my tacoma and i was shocked how much almost 20 year old paint can pop.

Ive been driving it around almost 2 months now and i have no desire to mod it lol. Maybe some sliders with some plates so i can have a step still but thats about it. The OEM+ build is doing it for me. Now if the wife backs into anything or hits anything its bumper time

Thanks man and yea the quads do look nice! I've never been one to sink alot of money in headlights though. It's been a fun one to own, probably gonna run this one into the ground.

I know exactly what you mean. I saw you sold your 2016 3rd gen. Smart man. lol Dont like them, feels like toyotas moving backwards, especially with the 4th gen.

And "downgrading"(in some peoples eyes since it's a 2006) to arguably the best engine/powertrain toyota has made. My 2007 with 253k miles literally feels like a new rig still. Im actually excited to get 500-600k miles+ on it just seeing the US and traveling camping.

I liked the look of my engine cover but it cracked and vibrated like a mother. I thought the engine was going to explode the first time it made the noise! If you still have it in your trash pile, I wouldn’t mind taking it off your hands!

I couldn't agree more. I just rolled 260k and apart from the infamous exhaust manifold tick she's tight. I pulled a oil sample from blackstone at 256k and the numbers were comparable to new according to the lab. I expect to get 500k no problem.

yep. It doesnt make financial sense and personally the mid 2000s was Peak toyota/Lexus. Literally no one made anything as robust and reliable. To this day the market for these rigs are still wild even with most markets crashing. lol. I paid 15,500$ for my cruiser with 250k miles. I have no doubts i'll hit 500k no problem. Just following the basics and not abusing ya equipment.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
My buddies shop see high mileage cruiser regularly. They are tanks in every way. I love watching the 4wd/24-7 show. Those guys are a riot and the cruisers take a serious beating!

I'm a big fan myself! I'd sell the farm for a chopped 60 series.

In should probably send in a few fluid samples just to get them checked out, but she still runs like a dream at 250k. And I’m with you fellas, either a nice 60 or a diesel 100 would be about the only thing we’d get until it’s time to get the kids in a car. Then it’ll just be a couple more 100s in the driveway. But that’s 12 years away thankfully
