    Hello,

I am experiencing brake booster fail on my 2007 Tacoma double cab V6 4.0, after 235k miles. I have looked at all of the parts fiches on various Toyota parts websites, and am having trouble figuring out the correct part number and was hoping someone could help.

The truck is a TRD offroad 4.0 without stability control, with ABS. The only part I am seeing for the 4.0 tacoma shows "With stability control", and the parts fiche does not look similar to my much simpler master cylinder setup.

Has anyone replaced a brake booster on a 2005+ without stability control, who can confirm the correct part number?

Part numbers I am seeing are -

    44610-04162 (With stability control)
    44610-04182 (4.0 "all")

    Thanks for all your help.

Part number listed on the part is 131010-16030. Does anyone know how to translate this into a Toyota USA part number?

    Bumping this.

OP, did you ever figure it out?

Including some extra text here in case someone else is in the same bind. This is the first issue I’ve had where I wasn’t able to find the solution on this forum.

My booster went out last week and I’ve now had 2 used boosters delivered that do not fit. I’m beyond frustrated. Everyone seems to just offer 1 booster for 2005-2008 tacomas as if they are ‘one size fits all’, however, the opening in the front on the model you and I have (131010-16030), where the master cylinder seals, is much smaller than the 2 used models I’ve received (131010-20131 & 131010-17421). I don’t know why, but our Ainsi 13/16” master cylinder seems to be smaller than the others. It’s also frustrating that Toyota put 6 or 7 different configurations on the 05-08 Tacomas (see pic attached). I took the face plate off of my original booster (while doing so found the massive tear in the diaphragm) thinking I could just swap it out on the last used booster that I received, however, I luckily realized last minute that on our model, the punches that keep the face on the body are on the face itself, while on the used model (17421) the punches are on the body. FML. If I can’t find the correct booster, I’m just going to look for a replacement master cylinder that fits the last used booster I received. I hate to do this because my MC works fine, but I’m ready to be done with this and I REALLY don’t want to pay the stealership $815.

In that vein, does anyone recommend a reputable brand of after market master cylinders?

I know this is old but did you ever find one? I went through two boosters in the past 5 years. My stock that came with the truck was 131010-16030 and the rebuilt one I bought off ebay which lasted 5 years is number 131010-14290
