Oh -- that PELE part set is cool, but it doesn't look waterproof to me. In fact, there is a big hole right in the rear of it and the guy admits in his threads that he had no idea about water intrusion being a problem. This said, I bet you could use the parts and run a bead of caulk across the back of the cover and fill that hole. Air can still get in from the sides.

the whole goal of water routing away isn’t entirely dependent on the cabin port. It’s half dependent on the windshield trim panel like in any car. Which as far as I’m aware, if you’re running an 07 cowl, it has a gap and needs replacing with updated PN.

I feel you. Same reason I haven't gotten it; saw $330 for it online. Piece of plastic. Kind of nuts.

original one's got a big gap showing under the windshield in the center area letting water in

pass footwell seems to not be getting wet anymore after putting the 3D PELE parts
was gonna do my own but glad he came out with a nice looking kit that goes right on

Here is the template I used to cut sheet metal with. The fold is where I bent the metal and adhered to the firewall with "GE Sealants & Adhesives GE5050 Advanced Silicone 2 Sealant." I then used the two factory holes to mount the metal to the truck duct. If you look carefully you can see the matching holes in the cardboard. IMG_3701.jpg
