2007 Tocoma with 450,000

I'm going for a Million...Will Toyota buy it back?

That’s great. That’s a lot of miles.
You’ve obviously done a good job with keeping up on the maintenance.
But I have to ask. You’ve surely had to done at least one set of wheel bearings in the front by now.
I haven’t seen or heard of a set going much passed 200k, let alone 450k.

What have you had to replace in 450k miles?
I’m curious, as I have the same year and model truck.
Only difference is mine is silver.

 

Yes 2 ...one each side
Radiator, water pumps, but just regular maintenance.

 

No mods then. If you're going for a mil try and keep it as stock as you can. I'm rooting for ya!

If I had a truck with that many miles in that good condition, you’d have to pry the keys from my cold dead hands lol no way I’d give it back to Toyota

I don’t think they do anything but I could be wrong. There’s a guy who got YouTube famous because he has 1,000,000 miles on his first Gen but it’s not the original engine. If you search million mile Tacoma on YouTube, all the videos will pop right up.

Seriously, I have no idea.
But I would not expect much.
Maybe feature it on their website or something, but I doubt they will give anything.

I’ll be really impressed if the timing chain makes it 1 million miles.
I’m surprised you haven’t had timing codes yet.
That’s why I said, you must keep up on the maintenance really good.

Thanks... no codes to speak of I don't know if has come up... the chain... yeah could be... but don't drive over 65 anymore.. and try very hard not to get over 1800 rpms.... never 2000.

 

I've got another 100,000 to go to catch up moving right along

 

RPMs won’t hurt it as long as you don’t abuse it . Don’t be afraid of that . If you kept the oil clean ( I’m sure you did ) do a lot of highway driving and don’t beat the hell out of it it will keep running .

 

Hope so.... I would like 750k... then I don't know... I finally got the driver seat upholstery done...looks and don't hurt my butt on a drive...drive 35k a year... give or take....

 

Probably realize their new vehicles suck ass in comparison, like that one 3rd gen tacoma thread where his timing cover is leaking already on a 2018 or 2019.

Which engine in your 2nd gen? Really impressive miles.
