That's pretty much the story. Truck randomly started running like crap with very little power. CEL started flashing. Limped it home and pulled P0301 and P2237. These seem to be quite different codes, a Cylinder 1 misfire and open circuit O2 sensor. I'm assuming one caused the other, but not sure which area to start. Does anybody know if these codes go hand-in-hand or have any advice on where I should start?

Change VC and spark plug tube gaskets then new plugs and new coils F141C921-6D9F-40C2-B7D3-466724D386AA.jpg brought the spunk back. Good luck!

Not that this helps but I had a problem after leaving the truck in the shop for a couple days. 2008, 180k with original coils. She started up rough immediately had a cylinder 4 misfire on my ultraguage. Did it a couple more times after that. Replaced my 6 year old battery and I haven't had a problem since.

Maybe old batteries can cause misfires on startup??

Tossed in a new duracrap coil pack which did the trick. I'll get a Denso when able.

I still don't understand the p2237 but it's gone now.
