Just got my new engine in on my 2008 tacoma after i blew a head gasket.
Found a good price on a 2012 engine with 200k km on it but didnt realize until I installed everything that the exhaust manifolds are slightly different.

Ive got a pretty bad exhaust leak that some high schooler may think is cool but I know it isnt.

Any idea on cheap ways to make this fix? looking at maybe doing headers as I can get those for cheap just need to make the transition. Or does somebody here have access to used headers? No wreckers in my area seem to have anything

You either need 12-15 manifolds and block-off plates or you need to figure out a way to plug the Secondary Air Injection ports in the heads.

Spec u headers will fix this problem if you can’t find some
Otherwise 2012-15 headers with block off plates on the secondary air pump port, or cutting off the tube for the secondary air pump port and welding a plate over all 6 of the holes

I post on a local Toyota ground and had a couple guys say they made their manifolds work with some welding. Gonna give that a shot otherwise I found a set of shortys for $100 and might just go that route
